Os traigo el álbum más reciente de esta fabulosa banda francesa de Shoegaze Metal, muy similar a Alcest. Los sonidos en este álbum son más limpios y armónicos que el primer álbum, la calidad es excepcional, sin dejar de lado los bellos sonidos acústicos que acompañan cada balada, la voz de Fursy Teyssier va perfecta con las tonadas y todos los elementos el álbum lo hacen muy ameno en su totalidad.

Sin duda alguna uno de los mejores artistas de los estados unidos y una de las más preciosas voces masculinas que existieron en la historia de la música en los 90s, Jeff Buckley era todo menos un fraude, Jeff Buckley fue un gran artista estadunidense quien logró dar otro nombre mediante la bella guitarra acústica al Jazz y al Rock en los 90s y aquí su mejor álbum, “Grace”, grabado en 1994 nos trae un exquisito repertorio musical que no deben de faltar para cualquier conocedor de la música. Para el infortunio universal, este talentoso artista falleció en el año 1997, ahogado en el río Wolf River, aparentemente se suicidó…
Tras su trágica muerte sólo queda la sombra de su fama y las grabaciones de su única voz que lo inmortalizaron, pocos artistas han podido continuar con esta propuesta de Jazz Rock cómo él lo logró, sin embargo para no dejar un mal sabor de boca prefiero dejarles sus mejores obras y el álbum que lo disparó al estrellato…

Esta fue la primera grabación oficial por parte de este talentosos y único grupo estadunidense, OURS, el álbum lamentablemente no fue comercializado y encontrarlo en internet está literalmente en chino… sin embargo la mafia y yo nos la hemos arreglado para traeros esta maravillosa obra de arte, esta grabación data de 1994, en los humildes inicios de Jimmy Gnecco y compañía, es sin duda una pieza de colección que no debe faltar para cualquier amante del Rock alternativo.

Aquí os traigo el segundo álbum de este artista italiano, representando aquí su fin cómo hip hop de óptima y única calidad con sus bellos condimentos italianos y poco a poco dando paso al ritmo pop que el artista lleva actualmente. El disco es bueno pero no tanto como el previo,sin embargo sus combinaciones rítmicas son más exquisitas y variadas, además tiene más contribuciones por parte de otros artistas como Dre Love o Al Castellana. El disco se titula 107 elementi y fue publicado en el año 1998.

Estupendo grupo estaduniedense de post rock acústico con toques indie e instrumentales, formado por un talentoso dueto formado por RobLowe y Michael Muller. Con una hermosa tonada de guitarra y piano y elementos extras como el cello o el violín, este grupo nos lleva a un ambiente harmónico y acústico muy parecido al que nos lleva Iron & Wine, Subaudition o Faun, os recomiendo mucho este álbum y posteriormente subiré más de ellos y otros artistas parecidos. Aquí el disco creado en el año del 2008, titulado “River Arms”.

Inspirado en la novela del escritor estadunidense H.P. Lovecraft, Mountains of Madness, The Tiger Lillies y el músico alemán Alexander Hacke nos traen una adaptación musical y una obra publicada solo en DVD sobre una de las mejores novelas de Lovecraft, el contenido entero es estupendo y muy bien adaptado al contenido literario, además de que en todas las canciones hay una cita sobre la obra.
El disco no fue llevado en formato audio al público y es muy difícil de conseguir debido a que no fue muy comercializado y salió en Agosto del 2005, pero por fin me las arreglé para conseguirlo y en formato audio para que lo disfruten más rápido, haré lo posible por conseguir el DVD, pero mientras tanto disfruten al controversial Martyn Jacques en una estupenda interpretación.

Después de 4 años en silencio, la banda italiana Spiritual Front nos trae al fin su nuevo álbum Rotten Roma Casino, el álbum saldrá a la venta a finales de Septiembre, pero la Mafia Rusa y yo les traemos el previo del álbum que contiene todos los tracks en óptima calidad, el álbum se planea sacar junto a un DVD que contiene videos sobre canciones extra. Siguiendo al viejo modelo, el álbum contiene una mezcla de Dark Cabaret con leves toques folk, pero las música se tornó más a un estilo pop, la espera valió la pena y un sonido más claro nos da un álbum muy bueno.

Filter es un grupo Americano proveniente de Ohio, creado por el ex-guitarrista del grupo Nine Inch Nails, Richard Patrick. El grupo puede ser considerado como industrial metal pero debido a la gran variedad de sonidos en sus canciones es difícil darle un género apropiado, pasando desde gruesos desafines de guitarras eléctricas, sonidos obscuros y depresivos hasta felices acordes acústicos, suaves cantos por la estupenda voz de este artista y un sonido claro rítmico. Buénisima banda de post grunge estadunidense nacida en el año 1999, trayendo un fabuloso pero único álbum, cuyas canciones fueron escuchadas en numerosas radios, soundtracks the series y comerciales, o su gran hit, “Cought in the rain” fue parte del gran soundtrack de la película de “Daredevil”. Si el grunge está dentro de tus gustos no puedes perderte este gran éxito. La banda se separó en el año 2004 por razones de la casa disquera, rumores dicen que la banda se volverá a juntar este año y están planificando un segundo álbum, ojalá sea cierto.

Aquí os traigo un material curioso,se trata de dos álbumes del grupo Manes, grupo procedente de noruega formados por un dueto en 1993, la banda empezó como un clásico cliché de Black metal pero no fue hasta el año 2003 cuando su estilo cambió radicalmente a synthetic, electro, alternative and speed metal y recientemente han mezclado sonidos Trip Hop y Jazz, ¡qué combinación!
Dejaré sus mejores dos álbumes, el primero de Nombre “Vilosophe” creado en el año 2003 trayendo consigo los revolucionarios sonidos de la banda y su más grande éxito “White devil black shroud” y el otro álbum titulado “How The World Came To An End” con sus fabulosos sonidos de Trip Hop y una combinación de idiomas y sonidos radicales que causa una adicción a escuchar las canciones de este álbum.

Viikate que en finés significa “Guadaña” es una de mis bandas favoritas y sin duda una muy buena recomendación si os gusta el Metal y lo alternativo también. Provenientes de Finlandia han deleitado al publico mundial desde 1996 con sus sonidos harmónicos y pesados combinado con sus letras melancólicas, inspiradas en el cine Finés de los años 50 y en músicos de la misma época. Con una gran discografía y un álbum más en camino es difícil decidir que disco postear primero y pues decidí dejaros el álbum doble publicado en el 2007 titulado “Marraskuun Lauluja” y sin duda es un material genial, todas y cada una de las canciones vale la pena escucharla.

Durante 7 largos años habías estado esperando un nuevo signo de vida de mi banda favorita, fueron largos años, una espera que parecía infinita, incluso se rumoreaba que la banda había llegado hasta allí, no había banda disquera que quisiera apoyarla supuestamente, escalando poco a poco de algunas donaciones, vendiendo un poco de material por internet, fue una larga lucha, 7 años de silencio sin algo realmente nuevo, y de pronto como por arte de magia, un anuncio, “we’re here bacause we’re here” su nuevo álbum prometido para este año, la espera por fin terminó y sólo tenía la esperanza de que el material de tal álbum valiera la pena, que no se uniera a las innumerables bandas que sólo tocan por vender, la noche era joven y por fin lo encontré, los 7 años de espera valieron la pena, todas y cada una de las canciones tienen un sonido único y la harmonía es bellísima, me enamoré, sin duda Anathema no entraría a ese círculo de bandas cuyos nuevos álbumes son solo rellenos, una bella noche de música hermosa hundido en un fino alcohol para celebrar 7 años de ausencia, espero que el próximo álbum tarde menos y que siga con esa trayectoria de originalidad y harmonía , aunque debo ser realista y la realidad es que a pesar de ser un muy buen disco nunca llegará a ser tan bueno como los clásicos de esta banda, pero el repertorio sigue siendo genial.

Antimatter es una banda inglesa formada por el ex bajista del legendario grupo Anathema, Duncan Patterson. Siguiendo la atmosfera alternativa y depresiva de los sonidos de su previa banda, Duncan siguió con unos fabulosos trabajo y ha sido participe de otros proyectos como Ion o Bull Doza, sin duda su separación de Anathema no puso obstáculo su carrera, y mejorando en muchos aspectos Duncan se fusionó con los simples sonidos acústicos de las guitarras simples y los vacios sinfónicos de estas para traer una nueva visión de la música alternativa. Aqui os dejo su penúltimo álbum, un trabajo esplendido y único.
